Thanks go to CaptainFrank over on the UK forum Saabscene for combining older versions of WIS and EPC and then porting them to operating systems above Windows XP.

I have tried the various releases available across the forums and consider these to be the easiest to install and most robust to date.

Both have been tested in 32/64bit Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10, and yes, there are a few bugs that I have noticed, but more than likely, they were always there anyway!

WIS: MEGA

MP: 47.03 MB file on MEGA

STM: 65.43 MB file on MEGA

The EPC package has now been superseded by the EPC & EAC package, and I`ve included MediaFire links for people who have trouble with MEGA. (Mediafire links to follow-AJ)

Hopefully, fellow enthusiasts will find these as useful as I do.

I will leave it for the mods to decide whether or not to sticky this post.

Today I have 1709 update and now my WIS misses finnish in language selection. Only swedish, UK english and US english.
I also missed ng 900 and 9-4X in car selection.

I am using W10 finnish version.

Sounds like it's re-installed a previous version. My WIS install has pretty much always contained the NG900 and 9-4x.

These really big updates seem to cause trouble varying degrees of trouble. Most of my machines here update without any trouble at all, but one of them completely obliterated almost everything on the laptop - even GlobalTIS stopped working!

Did something change? I was able to download the EPC/EAC no problem, but not the WIS. I downloaded and installed the MEGA extension per SAABAUS's instructions and when I click on the WIS link in the first post it takes me to MEGA's website where I can click download, but then the overview page says, "Unfortunately, Firefox has insufficient buffer to decrypt data in the browser, please install the MEGA desktop APP to download large files." Which I don't want to do. I want to install it through FireFox's browser. Any ideas? Anyone know how to get around this?

Hi Guys,

I`m shortly going to start work on making a new installer for GlobalTIS and Memory Card Explorer but I`ll need you help with the later.

I`d like to make the installer create a bunch of pre-configured shortcuts on the desktop such as "Memory Card Explorer (Dell D600)" etc... that already have the memory window configured.

This way, any newcomers can just delete all the shortcuts that aren't relevant to them and start writing their own linear flash cards.

Could any of you that have Memory Card Explorer please PM me with their Laptop make/Model and the memory window that they use.

Thank you,

Frank.

Has anyone been able to figure out why WIS doesn't show images with the x64 version and windows 7? Application works but get a question mark when it comes the images. I wonder if this has to do with ActiveCGM viewer?

Maybe the op can put a note in the first post.

I understand what EPC/EAC, but what is the rest: MP, STM, AIC?

MP = Menu Pricing - Generates Invoices for various works on the cars.

STM = Standard Times Mechanical - Estimates times required for jobs, also listed possible additional work

AIC = Accessories Installation Catalogue - Big list of PDFs detailing how to install various Accessories.

Basically, you can now open your own SAAB dealership!

Mac

I'm having trouble getting this to install on my Mac.

I have 2000 9-5 so I guess I need the WIS, which I downloaded. I think I downloaded the correct one.

I have both wine and wine bottle on my Mac, and I get part way through installation and then gets stuck.

Can someone recommend the correct link for my WIS and any suggestions for Mac? thanks

The First link is the right one. The cloud host Mega where the file is stored is not the most user friendly. I recall having to jump through some hoops to get it to download.

I'm just looking at it now and they have introduced the need to create an account to register their app to allow downloads (Im still waiting for the confirmation email). There used to be a Firefox plug in - but no more

The file is about 2.6GB

Persevere with the getting the first link to download it does work.
