hello, i have good used pump from a 04, although it does not need a rebuild i do want to take it apart and clean things up but might as well change some seals while im in there. anybody know of a seal kit for these? i have seen a seal kit for the 9-3 cast iron pump but nothing for the aluminum one on the 9-5.

I personally have never seen a 9-5 pump seal kit for sale, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Surely the re-manufacturers that are rebuilding these pumps are getting their seals from somewhere?

These are German ZF made pumps, and worst case I would contact whoever distributes ZF parts in the US (should be on their website). I have been amazed by the spares that the ZF distributor here in Oz keeps in stock. My last purchase was some LSD friction plates for a 1970's Alfa Romeo (they used ZF LSD diffs), which they not only had in stock, but delivered next day!

Good luck.

^^^ thank you, i have been doing some research and emailing some ZF re builders. it seems many BMW's and Audi/VW use the same power steering pump. there is a common repair kit available for them. the pumps exterior to the saab one looks identical but thats about it. i think i am going to take a shot at ordering 2 different kits and trying to make it work. if i end up being successful in the seal kit i will defiantly let you guys know
