When I turn my car off , i hear a tick tick tick coming from rear/midsection of the car. It only does it when it turns off. Well at least it seems to be that way , is this normal for Saabs?

Thats really common in all cars I think. Thats the metal in your exhaust expanding and contracting. I woukdn't worry about it I would hear it all the time in my mom's Chevy Malibu (terrible terrible car btw)
I'd creak and crack too, if my temperature were raised as high as an automobile's exhaust; very little of it can be touched for a few minutes..
Home heating systems make a similar noise ,caused by contraction/expansion.

Hey guys, I have the same ping sound in the same rear/midsection of the car as well. Also, I can hear the ping while in Park or at a complete stop with the engine still running. Now I know what metal expanding and contracting sounds like. This ping sound is very different than metal expanding. I don't think its whats going on with my car but if thats all it is than thats ok by me.
