9-3 Aero intake manifold air pressure

Hey guys, I've just replaced all my spark plugs and ignition coils on my 2006 9-3 Aero SportCombi but upon removing the intake manifold to access the coils I found a sensor not plugged anywhere, just loose. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where this goes. I've looked everywhere to see where the wire could reach and couldn't find an specific location. It doesn't seem to affect the performance and neither the CEL came on so far. I'm assuming I've been driving with this thing not plugged for a while. Am I losing performance because of it and what is the function of this sensor? I'm attaching a picture here so you can see what sensor I'm talking about! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Atmospheric pressure sensor

It's an atmospheric pressure sensor, bolts to the bracket the cable tray for the ECM loom goes on....there would be a spare M6 hole on that bracket
the o ring doesn't seal against anything

had misfire and high idle codes recently, found this part to be broken.

thanks for the verified p/n. gonna try picking it up from a local gm dealer to avoid the frickin $13 shipping/handling fee from GMPD.

Hello,

I recently replaced my EVAP purge valve because my car was showing a P0496/P2187 code. The mechanic who replaced the valve also mentioned that the hoses that connect the EVAP system has to be replaced, as well. Since there is no Saab shop near where I live, I take parts to the independent mechanic, who then replaces the parts for me.

Is this the part that you got from GM as mentioned above (Venturi) and replaced it, and that worked?

Thanks for your help!

Hi guys,
I've been experience a rough idle and a sort of shuttering when quickly accelerating (like when passing someone on the highway). I'm getting the P0446 code, and it's saying something about the engine running lean at idle. Will replacing the purge valve fix this issue?

As an aside, I'd say probably 3 out of the last 5 times I've gotten gas, I have trouble getting the car to start right away, but eventually does after a couple tries and has no problem starting any other time. Any idea what that's about?

Yes mate, replace the purge valve, thats your problem. Get them cheap from rockauto. Good luck ;)

So, I purchased a part listed on eeuroparts as "Purge Valve (EVAP canister)" not realizing that there was a separate part called "Purge Valve - EVAP"

I realize that the second part its the valve itself, but should I still install the canister or just send it back in exchange for the other part? Is it possible the the canister is/can be the cause of my problems?

Just finished this on 2007 93 aero, took me awhile to figure things out, since pics are gone, but got it done, light on dash went away. The blue button, grey button references and the vacuum hose with the black tab matching the one near the MAF by the radiator practice was spot on.

In my case vehicle was hard to start after filling up, believe it took me about an hour to figure it out, used google images for 2007 evap purge valve and YouTube I believe, just take your time when disconnecting and reconnecting.

I am having issues with my 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero cranking over for long periods of times only after refueling completely. Also noticed when trying to accelerate up a hill or to pass a car my car stutters to go. This has to do with the EVAP Purge Valve still correct? I am going to get the part from a parts store, Oriely’s has it listed for $41.99 with a part #CP569. Is this the part I need?
