My wife's 1995 dribbled oil for like the last 9 years. Of course it started right out of warranty but never enough to warrant a job unto it's own and never enough to add oil between changes; well at least until the last months before it died and even then it was only a quart in 2 months.

Where is it coming from and how much oil?

 

well its coming from around the oil pan but i cannot pin point where it is exactly. it leaks quite a bit after running.

 

How about the oil line banjo bolts right by the oil filter? When I swapped turbos a while back, I forgot to put one of the copper crush washers back on and I got some oil leakage...

 

Are you positive its oil? Dirty trans or PS fluid would look similar to the untrained eye. Was any work done on it that you know of before you bought it?

i have a 95 saab. anyways yes its motor oil, the oil light came on because it was literally almost bone dry. the only work was a new turbo. could there be anything around there i should look for?
