Thrush Turbo muffler - $25
90degree exhaust tubing - $10

After debating for days on whether or not to put a flow through muffler on my car, I finally just decided to spend the $35 and I am thoroughly impressed by the sound. I didn't want to disgrace my Saab by having it produce a whiney, high-pitched, exhaust note and I got the exact opposite! The exhaust note is very deep and powerful sounding (as strong as our 4 cylinders can sound) from 1.5-3.5k rpm and then gets lost behind engine sound after 4k. Very good sound for a very cheap price!

Pepboys or advance auto :)!
I tried getting a video of it but it doesn't do it justice it sounds "poppier" than it does when accelerating. The more I hear it the better it sounds and that could be because I've heard they get louder and raspier as they break in. In cabin noise is a low rumble during normal shift revs but driving revs are almost silent. I kept my resonator on btw. You must cut the stock muffler off unfortunately, where it bends perpendicular to the car and then add necessary piping such as a 90 and maybe some others if you want it to recede into the muffler heatshielding. Buy a 2.25" muffler on both sides and try to buy one that has a total length of around 18" it fit well for me. Use a 2.25" ID to 2.25" OD 90 bend. I'm sure you could just clamp the exhaust instead of welding it but I'm sure a muffler shop would weld if you can't access the muffler readily. A car lift is sort of required .. Buy the quietest muffler you can from either thrush or magnaflow and you should like the results. Saab's do not sound "ricer" and highpitched with most applications.

OP says TURBO MUFFLER so it's like the Cherry Bomb turbo mufflers. A very basic muffler that uses the same size tubing inside as out. Many OEM mufflers get very small inside the muffler to reduce sound by compressing waves, but flow is drastically reduced. Turbo mufflers flow well and are pretty quite. They sound decent on most cars. The are FAR different than a Magnaflow. They tend to be a lot quieter and may not flow quit as much but don't resonate your teeth out of your mouth either. 9-3 OEM mufflers actually flow very well so only think you gain would be sound. The cork in the 9-3 system is the down pipe and 2nd cat in '07+ cars.
