Check power supply and bus wires to STC.
You can also reset buses with TECH2.

 

Thanks Mimmi. I'll try that. So far I've found I can cycle the hydraulic motor with the tech2 and see the position of all the switches and such. I've yet to inspect or find the pump. I'm going to research and get back to it.

So, I pulled the trunk liner and inspected the pump & STC. Wiggled wiring etc. Hooked up the Tech 2 and got code STC B1010 08 .
I again tried the soft top motion on the tech 2, same negative response as in the pic.

I then tried the sensor test.
Results - Tonneau Cover Up, 6th bow latched, Main Cylinder Up.

So, I'll be trying to locate these and see if I can test them.

 

I located the main cylinder up magnetic hall sensor. Hopefully I'm testing it correctly. It has 3 wires. I'm getting 11v on 2 leads, then 8v on the other using dvom testing to ground. cycled the cylinder up/down a few times - no voltage change on any leads.

The other 6th bow latched requires some disassembly of the top, so I'll hold off on that.

I'm not that great with electronics, so thinking I'm going to see if I can locate these 2 sensors and roll the dice.

I had 6th bow latched right and main cylinder up/down show bad on the tech 2 sensor test.


I replaced 6th bow latched right sensor, but nobody has this main cylinder up/down sensor. After shopping around I found a UK site Sabbits - they got it for me in half the time and $50 cheaper than the US retailers I checked.



Changed both these sensors, cleared codes - then tech2 says 6th bow latched right reading bad again. Weird - this is a new sensor.



Cleared codes again and disconnected the Tech 2. Hit the switch and top is now operational.

Any chance you have some more details about the switches? Like link to buy or photos of how they mount? I think that is my issue.

 

Switch is part of SIDC. There is no other switches.
Sensors have fittings so you just push them in place..
