First post :), hello all.

The speedo seems to have failed in the car !!!

Whats the deal regarding this..... the car is a 1995 900 turbo manual, all the other functions are fine on the dash itself, just the speedo arm doesnt move.

.....
I have since found out (im new owner of the car) that it was "Sensonic" with a pedal conversion done and that it is possible the link is somehow broken ???

is it a cable or is it electronicly controlled.

:::: Forgot to add this :::::

the trip counter / mileage thingy (electronic not the wheel type ones) isnt changing as i do miles. The rev counter and petrol/turbo are working ok.

I dont seem to have a n ABS issue (no lights at least, but it could have failed, right ?)

Ta

TIA

Hi kompressor and welcome to Saabcentral.

I'm not sure what is causing your speedometer not to work but I can tell you that it is not cable driven. It is electronic and uses pulses from the ABS sensor on the rear LH wheel. Unfortunately the diagnosis of the problem requires the use of specialist tools so you will need to see a dealer or specialist on this occassion.
