2008 9-3 Aero TTiD automatic
Yes that old one, Limited Performance came up yet again after nothing for three weeks. About month ago had a re generation done on DPF, that lasted one week before LP came back on. Had the warning re set at Saab garage in Dorset, drove back to Berkshire in 4th gear at high revs and ok for those 3 weeks. Driving down to Dorset again today 22/12/21 for some very strange reason the LP warning came up again at exactly the same part of M3 as last time , how strange , the same stretch within 100 yards! Now limping around thinking of next move. I’m now wondering if I should buy a new DPF filter, but I’ve read bad stuff about the low priced ones (£300).
Anyone heard of Sinspeed in London, www.Sinspeed.co.uk . Going to contact them tomorrow. They say they can take the filter away and reset everything for a reasonable price with a lifetime warranty etc. There are some very good write ups about them but also some bad , anyone used them in past ?
I know absolutely nothing about the mechanical side of cars, so everything I’m writing here is stuff I’ve read or advice given. I’m assuming the problem is the DPF filter? A bit more info about the car, it drives very well, good mpg around 50, the twin exhaust at back is very black and sooty even making the rear bumper area dirty, it pulls really well and is very rapid (210bhp) so every thing I read about DPF problems this car shouldn’t be as stated last few lines ?? Could it be something else?
