i posted this couple of days ago and thought i try again.
My healights do not work but my highbeam does. it is not the bulb not the fuses not the relay and not the grounding.
I dont think its the switch either. i had to tape my light to not blind ppl and i need help! could it be the MODULE? how can i check.
PLZ help my saab needs it.

So both lights fail to operate on low-beam? And your sure its not the bulb just because both have failed to operate?

Looking around I see their is a headlight relay in the underhood/engine bay relay block. You may want to try pulling that and cleaning the contacts, if that doesn't work probably should try buying a new relay.

Out of curiousity, during time of low-beam failure is you SID telling you that the headlights are out?

My SID did tell me that the fron light failiur existed when the first lamp went off. then it worked again and then suddenly both went out and my sid does not tell me that there is failiur. i changed the bulbs so that is not the problem.
Very confusing.
The relay for high and low beam is exactly the same so i switched them arround and still the same problem persisted.
So now im starting to think that it might be the bolbswitch module, the orange one that is in the relay box under the hood. cant see any other reason for failur but that.
please help.
Thanks

I am adrianfrchicago and i posted that my headlights didnt work either i went trough everything. the switch the relay the fuses changed the lamps. but it was the lamp control.....the orange one in the fuse box under the hood.
i took a piece of wire and connected the 56b slot to the 56bL slot and the left light came on and then the 56b slot to 56bR slot and the right light went on. So i knew it was just the lamp control....cleaned the connectors and then it worked. YAHOOOOOOOO
finally i can take the tape off my lamps and not be a shamed of my SAAB.
Thanks
