Front tow hook?

I have owned many Saabs but I now own my first 9-5. I live in a rural area which gets a fair bit of snow. I know that I will have to pull the car out of snow drifts from time to time (if nothing else in my drive which drifts in). There is a great tow eye in the back of the car but that little tiny eye in the front is going to snap right off the first time i hook up to it. Have any of you other guys who live in snowy areas have come up with a good place to hook up to yet?

The tow eye screws into the subframe right? What's so tiny about it?

Seems a fair bit under sized to me. Not only that but if I have the front of the car in a snow pile I don't exactly want to dig out the area in under the engine, remove the rubber plug, screw in the eye bolt, while on my back trying not to drop it things in snow.

For the most part I think the saab is well thought out but the front tow eye is not.
