Taliferro Saab Chip

I orderd one and i put it in correctly and my car would not start...hah.....but looking at the chip the 538 for the ecu number was only showing a little bit. So maybe they mixed up the chips i don't know. But i called nick and he gave me a refund and i told him i wanted to try another one. 2 months later he got more in but they didn't have any rev limit on them so another words he wouldn't sell them due to the danger. That was back in march, now its june and he is still trying to find out what the story is with everything. :-? I'm going to call him today ...

I use the stock injector with that chip!

The speedparts chip supports only the stock injectors.

If you want larger injectors you got some alternatives:
- add larger injectors do the resistor mod
or
- add larger injectors and get a custom chip for the new injectors.

I'm doing the custom chip upgrade. It's more expensive, but I feel alot more calm when I know that the chip and injectors are "made" for each other.

Just adding larger injector might get the car run rich at idle.

injector cleaner does wonders.
dont get anything too powerful as it will eat through the rubber in the gas tank as well as muck up your lines.
i personaly use the stuff made by chevron which is called techron.
works a treat and have not had any troubles with it.

i have also heard good things about the speedparts chips. I am thinking about getting the LH 2.4 chip for my 89 SPG. The only thing i want to know, is if the chip gets rid of the overboost fuel cut-off. I know that in the LH 2.4 cars the overboost cut-off is done through the ECU. I would assume that since this chip raises the rev limit fuel cut-off, it also gets rid of the overboost one also. Anyone know about this??? I would love to use this chip and i would rather like to avoid having to add a resistor to my AMM as this could wind up making the car run too lean or too rich. Also, how much boost can one use with such a chip, stock injectors, and a 3.0bar FRFPR??
