cold start and running . . . .

Hello all.

So now that it's cold, my '91 16V Turbo is having some running cold issues. She starts after three or four cranks (always has!) and idles fine after a second - it's once driving that the gremlins come out. Though she's an auto-tranny it feels like I'm driving with the throttle IN and the clutch half OUT - ie: there's not enough PULL for the amount of RPMs that she's generating. Sometimes there's some pulsing or surging of the RPMs, as well.

Once the engine's all warmed up (after a few minutes, to the 1/5 - 1/4 mark), everything is forgiven and she's back to normal! All the filters have just been replaced, along with all of the fluids! What gives?

Is this a transmission issue? (please no!)

Fuel pressure?

I'm at a lossssss, please help!!!!!!

cheers,

aleks.
