Do you think i need to convert High Level from pioneer, to low level for Bose Amp?

RCA cabels in and use speaker cables out.
I did not use RCA cables at all. I wired the Kenwood straight to the Bose amp with the factory harness.

Bass is king! Added a RF sub/amp combo, adds a nice punch to the system and Cosmic loves it ;ol;

Held in place with velcro strips on the bottom and back of the sub.

Alpine instal kit

Erik, if you could develop a plug and play harness for the Alpine amp install I think this would be a big seller. There are over 600 members of the FB Turbo X group. Happy to contribute to its development and be the first customer!!!!

Now you've got me really thinking...;ol;

If I can find female versions of the Bose plugs I could definitely make a plug and play harness. Although you'd still probably want to run power/ground instead of using the OEM wires for that...but maybe not, I'm thinking the factory wiring can handle a smaller aftermarket amp like the Alpine one we put in David's car.

David's going to drop by today again so we'll pull the wiring diagram and I'll post it up here for all to use.

Thanks. A lot of people like me would pay top dollar for a plug and play solution. Would make the instal so much easier. Really not an issue of money - just expertise, or lack of it to be precise. I am sure a custom Bose harness would still be cheaper than taking it to a shop to instal.

OK so here we go, the results of careful mapping and studying wiring diagrams (David can attest that this was a pain in the butt). This applies to both base model and Bose systems, with the only difference being the base model system just has less speakers (and less wattage), but wire colors are the same.

INPUTS (wires coming straight from head unit, smaller gauge wires, all of these are on same plug going into amp)

Front left (+) >>> BLUE
Front left (-) >>> BLUE/BROWN

Front right (+) >>> YELLOW
Front right (-) >>> YELLOW/BLACK

Rear left (+) >>> GREEN/BLACK
Rear left (-) >>> BLUE/BLACK

Rear right (+) >>> WHITE/BROWN
Rear right (-) >>> BROWN

OUTPUTS (wires going from amp to speakers, larger gauge wires, these are split up between the other 2 plugs on the amp)

Front left dash (+) >>> BLUE
Front left dash (-) >>> BROWN/BLUE

Front right dash (+) >>> YELLOW
Front right dash (-) >>> BLACK/YELLOW

Front left door (+) >>> BLUE/PURPLE
Front left door (-) >>> BLACK/GRAY

Front right door (+) >>> GREEN/BLUE

Rear left door (+) >>> GREEN
Rear left door (-) >>> BLACK/GREEN

Rear right door (+) >>> WHITE
Rear right door (-) >>> BLACK/BLUE

Rear left parcel shelf woofer (+) >>> BLACK/BROWN
Rear left parcel shelf woofer (-) >>> BLACK/GREEN

Rear right parcel shelf woofer (+) >>> GREEN/PURPLE
Rear right parcel shelf woofer (-) >>> BLACK/GRAY

------------------------------------------------------------

The rear parcel shelf 3.5 inch speakers are a waste, so I didn't list the wiring for those. They don't help the sound at all, especially when replacing the rear 6x9's with aftermarkets that have tweeters built into them.

Same goes for the front center speaker. We left it in the dash but it's not connected to the new amp. Here is the wiring for the front center if you want it though:

Front dash center (+) >>> YELLOW/WHITE
Front dash center (-) >>> BLACK/BLUE

Hope this helps anyone doing this and saves you a TON of time ;ol;

Great work. Added this to the How To sticky in the 9-3 SS Workshop.
That is an understatement! SS7(Eric) is a true enthusiast with little compromise.
My system, all for under $600 or so, sounds great and looks factory. Quite a bit of labor but that CAN be the fun part.

Kudos to Swedespeed7;ol;

And Eric I'm going to guess I have one of the better sounding 9-3SS/SC in the Chicago area minus the nuts that spend $10K at ABT Electronics for a system!

Wow, how long did it take you guys to trace these? Did y'all use the ol' battery trick?

Bonus question: how do you disconnect the center dash speaker? Most useless thing ever

Just unplug it right at the speaker. Or just leave it plugged in and don't wire it to the amp.
