2006 2.8t manual.
So I have this no crank no start problem for a while, don't believe it is ABS, I have tried 2 other ABS modules and it is the same, I also re-pin the ABS connector so the connector is fine. No OBD connection but scan tool can communicate with all modules, got U2105 code, if I reset the ECU by pulling fuse #2 in the UEC and put it back, the car starts right up, but it won't crank the next start, if I use the scan tool to clear U2105 code, the car starts right up but again it won't re-start again after shut down, U2105 comes back again. Checked +15 to ECU (pin3) got 12V, ABS p-bus to ECU seems to be fine, no wire is broken, so I guess it is the ECU went bad.
I have a used ECU with the same part number as the one in the car, so what it takes to swap the ECU? Do I need to clone the ECU or just add/marry it to the car? I don't have Tech2 but would tech2win works? What cable do I need? I have OBDLink SX but I read that it doesn't work for ME9, really don't want to buy Chinese Tech2 clone at this point.
