I don't think there is any software out there to clone the ME9 ecu. You should be able to marry it with tech2win but I am not sure of the procedure. I think that 2006 is one year software so if the spare you have is from an 06 you will be fine. As far as the code itself it can also be the UEC, AHL, TCM if its an auto, or even the ICM. They are all on the P-Bus as well as the ABS so an internal failure in any can kill the bus and cause the no communication code.

I might try a different ICM/radio display. It is the gateway for the P-Bus. I had an 06 4 cyl that seemed very similar to these issues and I tried several different ABS and UEC before I tried the ICM which fixed the issue. You can just plug an ICM in and use it. It is the control module before the ABS on the P-Bus. It should be married but will work without being married. I might try to get that tech2win up and working to see if you can ping the different control modules and see if any have funky communication.
