SCL removal Steering Column Lock

I posted an incorrect procedure for efficient butchering of your favorite failed steering column lock recently. Here's some pics to accompany the Catch-22 of
"Steering Column must be unlocked to remove the 5mm security bolt." You can't unlock the steering column because it failed 'closed'... if the buss or harness or connectors are bum, or the little DC motors are cooked, you'll have to cut the collar off the security bolt casing and wrangle the box off.

Thank you for posting these pics! I have my SCL to the point where it's loose and wiggly and even sliding back and forth within the mount, but for the life of me I can't get it out. I'm not totally clear about where you're recommending cutting-- into the side of the metal housing itself?
