check the springs themselves. If they sag and coil bind then they will reach solid load over bumps (all coils touching) which is fatal in the scheme of things

Oh please. The ride is stiff over road cracks and patches. Small-scale stuff that makes the car jitter. It's perfectly well controlled over large bumps and has tons of suspension travel. The springs aren't sagging, and they are certainly not binding. It's not even the lower Aero suspension.
