I'm getting ready to have someone take on some rust issues with my 2003 9-5 Aero Wagon. I have the typical Dog Leg rust at both of the rear wheel wells
and I have a good patch of rust at the drivers side rear wheel well arch. I've attached a couple of photos of the problem areas.
I purchased patch panels off of Ebay which came all the way from Lithuania which replace the dog leg and fender arch on both sides.
I've had someone try to repair the dog leg areas in the past, but they did surface repairs that only lasted about 1 year and the rust was back. This time I thought
I would try a different approach and have someone weld in some patch panels to see if we can get a repair that lasts. Have any of you see this type of wheel arch
rust? Will a patch panel repair last? I'm just wondering how this happened? Is something leaking somewhere that causes this rust?
