I've started experiencing engine oil consumption on my 2005 9-3 Aero with 160,000 miles on it (it's always had Mobile1 full synthetic). My trusted local mechanic (European shop, FWIW) advised I try a can of Liqui Moly MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment. With the historical sludge issues Saab engines have, I do pause at the thought of putting anything "additional" into my engine. Do any of you have experience with this product?
As well, I'm considering using Liqui Moly's Pro-Line Engine Flush before my next oil change to clean things out. And, I'm eyeing their Motor Oil Saver as possibly a more appropriate product for my problem.
The MoS2 Anti-Friction Treatment doesn't give recommended application frequency, but the Motor Oil Saver recommends adding it every 20,000 miles.
Do any of you have experience with any of these products?
Thanks is advance!
