Yet another problem with my 04 9-3 linear. It started on my way home from the saab dealer a few days ago after having my amp replaced. I drove over 200 miles and my car still reads almost a full tank. Anyone have an idea of what could be wrong or if it can be fixed w/o going to the dealer again, its not a fun drive and it feels like ive been going every week.

Thanks,
Dave

If it's an early build 04 it could be the fuel sender issue, although most of us have had it drop and read empty after we've filled it. Not stay Full.
Yes quite the common failure here. Mine actually stayed on full too...

Originally the fix was replacement of the complete assembly, at a later date it was said only the "sender" or "Sensor" was replaced. Not the whole assembly which consists of pump/filter/sender(sensor). Many threads on this in the early SS days (03-4). Now it's out of it's infancy and just out of the toddler years...

jon, do you know if it's hard to drop the tank on 03 9-3 SS? i'm planning to do this with a help of a buddy. thanks!

If you have access to a lift or pit, I think it would be cake. I was looking around at the tank a couple weeks ago when I put my exhaust in. I was contimplating going with a stright pipe, instead of the stock setup which bends around the tank. Unfortunatly without replacing with a different shaped tank, this was impossible.
