Detail explanation of Install of After market Radio?

I want to remove the CD Player and install a DIN size after market CD/Radio in the same slot in my 2003 9-3. I have read all the post I could find on this subject on this forum, but I still don't really understand how exactly to by-pass the fiber optic signals or what gets plug into the after market radio for example: the Antenna or the speaker wires or a wire harness kit. Does anyone have details to this install and pic's if available. One more question, if I leave the original radio in the car, will both radios work the after market and the original radio?

2003 9-3 Victor

The saab I have is 2003 9-3 Victor, and I only want to remove the factory CD Player and add a after market DIN size CD/Radio unit, just like Raj did in this past post: http://punn.org/projects/SaabSoundInstall/index.html

Also, if you remove or bypass the factory radio, you lose your turn signal sound.

worth it?

I really would like to have that true audio sound through a Radio with a USB port for my Ipod, but I am now starting to think is it really worth adding a CD/Radio?

It's easier and cheaper to add the Aux In port to the existing stereo.
