2011 9-5 Turbo4 M/T, US market.
Engine is the LHU (A20NFT Europe nomenclature)
Saab WIS states radiator replacement procedure includes removing the A/C compressor and the charge air cooler (intercooler.)
What are some shortcuts for replacing the radiator? And especially shortcuts to avoid having to discharge/evacuate the air conditioning system on the 2011 Saab 9-5 with a 4-cyl.

PS: Note step #1, "Turn the ignition OFF." The writer got a kick out of that.
PPS: With manual transmission I get to skip step 12.

I don’t think you’d have to take the A/C condenser out to get the radiator out. If I remember it’s A/C condenser, intercooler, and radiator in that order. They’re all sort of hitched together so it might be a pain to separate it from the intercooler, but it should be doable. I pulled the intercooler out of my Aero without taking out the A/C condenser (not saying it was fun lol).

Opening the hood and looking at the arrangement of fan & shroud assembly, radiator location, engine location, a/c compressor location, a/c hose routing, and upper frame member, and after having had the front fascia off at least twice, it appears to me like the radiator R&R could be done without removing the air conditioning compressor.
I tend to believe the WIS, but it has been wrong* before.
Seeking confirmation from anyone on this forum before I start digging into it.
What other useful forums are out there for the other GM Epsilon II cars, LaCrosse, Impala, XTS, Regal/Malibu/Insignia?

Thanks,

*WIS error: Removing the alternator from a Viggen cannot be done by dropping the alternator down as the WIS states. The Viggen alternator has to have the mount removed and then the alternator comes up and out.
