Not even one year and 10,000 miles after replacing my 1997 900's clutch cable, it broke again. This time the crimped-on end that pulls the lever on the transmission popped off. I'm curious if anyone else has had that problem. The adjuster on the original one was what gave out. Luckily I had a ScanTech cable lying around at home, so I was able to use that until I got to the dealer. Since I kept the receipt, I was able to get the cable replaced for free under warranty. There's a one year 12,000 mile warranty on the things, so keep your receipts. They may come in handy!
