2002 Saab 95: Yesterday, in arctic CT cold we noticed: NO HEAT coming from the vents (temperature gauge showed good engine temperature after 10-15 min drive). That is both on driver as well as passenger sides.

Today I tried it again, no heat, then for about 30 seconds good heat and again no heat.

Then my SID is not really legible as far as any code for what's wrong is concerned. Got this car used (at 166K miles) for our high school daughter as her first car to practice driving.

Thanks for any suggestion as what to look at.

ur SID wont show whats wrong with your heater. The climate control has its own diagnostic test it runs, just press auto and off at the same time and it will come up with any fault codes. No heat and only cold air is most likely fault 08, which is the infamous blend door repair. But just run the test and see what pops up and let us know

Do you get heat after you let go of the gas after accelerating? and then no heat again? I have this same problem in my car and have been trying to figure it out.
