My 9-5 will not start with a warm engine. It just cranks forever and nothing. When it does start, it starts fine, but then when I drive it it stutters but only sometimes, mainly when shifting to 3rd or a slight hesitation on the freeway.
I just got back home, shut her off and tried starting and it won't.

What's going on? :x

search my man. CPS, or crankshaft position sensor has likely gone bad.

thanks im a little out of it today, didnt search I was just upset about the car.
So it can't be the fuel pump? the CPS going bad makes the car not start?
when its warm. The cps is to blame for failure to start when the car is warm only, cold starts should be easier for the motor.

cps is a good first replacement anyway, because its relatively cheap and super easy to DIY.

Just wanted to say that I replaced the CPS and everything is fine now.
Glad it was that easy, and thanks for your help!
