When turning off the wipers, they won't stop and park in the down position as they should. Has anyone been successful at repairing the motor to restore its stop-and-park function, or does this normally call for a replacement motor?

If the wipers park in the same position every time and the washers work, just take off the arms, remove scuttle panel and re-position the linkage position on the motor housing, its a bit time consuming but do-able. Mark the original position of the wiper arms before you take them off to ensure they go back on correctly to avoid runnning them off the window.... If it's intermittent, the park switch is damaged and will need a new/replacement assembly..
