Wanted to search but it seems I cannot. My 04 SS has been great overall, but one issue Ive had since almost new is sticking windows.

Usually I leave the cabin closed, rarely using the windows. However I do use them once in a while... When I go to lower them after sitting a while, they pop, as if the seals are stuck to the glass too much.

I am sure this isnt good for the motors/regulators, but using silicone hasnt helped. Im thinking of going to a thin coating of Krytox.

Anyone else notice that the windows stick and then pop when lowering? Has anyone found a solution? I want to be careful not to damage the rubber parts...

Thanks!

This is pretty standard, nothing really "wrong". The solution is to either utilize your windows more, thus breaking in the run channels (rubber channel the window slides in), or lightly lubricate the run channel with rubber dressing. The latter can get messy.
