OK Saab electical whiz-kids, try this one.
I love my 900. It's great. It's the best car I've ever owned, even with it's knackered rear suspension, blowing exhaust, front bushes worn down so much that the understeer is phenominal - especially in the wet - will it go round the corner, or will we go into that filed? Lets find out!
But the main thing that bugs me is the position of the window switches. Why put them there where no one can see them, opening the sunroof or the back window when you want to flick the two inch long finger of ash you've got, and it ends up in your lap.
So, here's the thing.
I recon the wiring to the switches runs through the central tunnel. Could I rig up a system that would move these switches to where the DIN sized cubby is below the ashtray? Re-route the wires, and build a bank of switches to put in there? Kind of like the ones on a Mk2 Golf?
That's the thought anyway....
