can someone please help me. I have a 1985 900 turbo 3 door. My question is will the window regulator from a 5 door model fit the front door of a 3 door model any help would be appreciated

I think it will but you'll prob need a car from the same year, i've got and 1985 front handbrake T8 (2-door) and a 1988 rear handbrake 5 door and the regulators are different, i think that's cos the door insides were updated rather than the 2 and 5 door being different.

What's the problem with your regulator?

The front door window regulator steady arm or the one that bolts to the door is about 40mm shorter on the five door regulator as opposed to the three door one but apart from that they are the same. So no it won't bolt straight in but can be made to fit if you wanted to.
