2006 saab 9-3 aero v6 170k
engine runs fine but doesn't like hard acceleration - hesitates. At speed when I let up on the accelerator white smoke billows out the back. coolant check shows loss. engine oil is clear.


Can't get white smoke to appear by simply revving engine. Needs to be under load.



Head gasket?


If it is head gasket will the liquid gasket sealant you put in the coolant solve the problem?

Those sealants never work and are at best a temporary stop gap that you should bother with and they wreak havoc on the engine internals. You are losing coolant, its in the early stages. If you keep driving it your going to burn your bearing asap. Radiator pressure test kit, free to rent at your local auto parts store.
