Like I said in my other post my 1989 900 turbo 16v is nearly complete:

another question?

what turbos have people found to be effective at producing upto approx 270 bhp without masses of lag?

hybrid the one thats on it?

go for one of garretts new variable nozzle turbine turbos?

what do you guys think?

thanks

A Garratt T3 trim 60 should produce the goods, make sure that the turbine isn't clipped as this will affect spoolup and top end power. An alternative would be Brads TE-05 hybrid using the 16G compressor wheel.

I cannot remember where, but I think I already saw a shop which offered the GT28 with T3 bolt pattern!

If you want the best, get a GT turbo, preferably a GT28rs

ATP turbo's sells T3/4 versions. You will still need to make oil & coolant lines but they are the best turbos available!! The problem with the T3's & T3/4's is that they were designed 20-30 years ago & haven't really been changed!! The GT line is the latest & greatest!!
