I replaced a wheel bearing in my Saab 93 over lunch break(one hour), this was when Saab was on its way up. A Saab sales had a wheel bearing as a sales display at around the same time.
She's on the way down.
I wonder if todays "mechanics" even know how to change a bearing.
after I hit a curb my bearing was damaged and the only option was to replace the entire hub... this was not at a dealer and just the cost of the hub was almost $400. I really think if they were able to replace just the bearing they would have done so to save me money. They are really good about treating their customers correctly. So, I would have to say no but I really don't understand why.
