My powerseering is low and need to put some fluid in. I have bottle for my honda accord and if its the same will use it. Thanks

Should be to GM spec something, if you have a "universal" fluid that is probably fine, if it is HONDA-brand fluid then check the bottle for spec.

isthere a certain dot number though? I just need to add a little after I get off work. thanks again

I used an auto trans fluid as a tempoaray measure once, but then changed it for the proper Saab stuff. As several will confirm here, the system works better with the real fluid.


Others say that as it is a GM rack and GM pump, use GM fluid.

Carquest & Napa housebrand meets the spec... @ steep discount. Before I got my new rack in, I bought CQ's by the case. FWIW, their oil & filters the same: petroleum based oil is VALVOLINE, filters are MANN... both at least 1/3 less than same branded product.
