What the hek is this noise (Driver's side)

There's a tapping noise inside the car near the driver's side vents. Nothing under the hood. Sounds like a valve tapping, but nothing under the hood. It seems to go away over 30mph, but exists from idle to about 25mph. It gets a little louder from idle to about 25mph, then quiets down when I speed up until it 'goes away'
If I can't figure it out, this mofo is going for a dealer visit.
My engine is brand new from the dealer.
There is sufficient Mobil 1 0W30. I can't think of anything right now as my brain is pruned from being on call last night. It is also blazing snowy out there.

blower fan
I see. Is it supposed to make that tapping noise only when the heat/fan is turned on? I didn't notice if the noise was there if the fan was off.
Heater works, as you surely know the temp here in NJ.

So the blower fan is by the driver's side?

Obviously I've never faced this kind of problem with any cars...Only my Saaaab.

I was looking at this cabin filter thread

Thanks
