Hi, I found one of my spark plug soaking with oil, when I changing the spark plug. I think it might be the spark plug hole gasket need to replace. I don't have any oil leaking around the engine. It is just some rough idle at start off to give misfire code.

When I look at You Tube on how to change the valve cover gasket, someone comment about replace the timing chain guide. Is it something in regular maintenance? Is so, what else I need to replace, since I open the cover already.

I will also change the thermostat as well, getting the engine code that it keep long time to get engine to working temperature. I have 104k miles in 9 years, it should be time to change.

Valve cover gasket comes in one set with the spark plug tube seals, the upper timing chain guide why not !

I am the worst for not knowing what stuff is technically called, but
"spark plug hole" gasket is awesome.
Can we just call it that from now on?
