What is this? .... LOL ...

While putting a brace for the hatchback I FOUND MY AMPLIFIER ....
But, there are 2 boxes here? A silver one attached to another box (blue stripe on top) ... (sry for the dusty pics)

I THINK the silver one is the Amp? (box in front)
... What's the other one? (box in back, attached to the silver one)

Thanks for the help :)

What is my Amp doing back in my hatchback anyway? No wonder I couldn't find it under the passenger seat like the book, (and all the sources I have found) says it is.

If your car is my -01, you have og 9-3.
Ng 9-3 (my-03-06) have amp1 under left front seat (if 4/5D).

What I see in pic, amp is aftermarket one.

Yeah, but those also aren't Y2K TE connectors, and that doesn't look like Saab wire wrap either.

(And, not all aftermarket wiring is janky... I do alright!

Yeah, that definitely looks like the OnStar box. If your car even has an external amplifier (only present if you have door speakers), then it's behind the passenger's side kick panel on the side of the dashboard.
