Hi there, these forums have been incredibly helpful, so thanks everybody!

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this rattle/knocking sound? It is heard clearly at seconds 2-3 and then at 5-6.

Car drives well in all gears (its a five-speed manual trans), although the turbocharger poops out after about 3 seconds of hard boost.

My unprofessional opinion is a broken motor mount. Curious to see other's comments.

That's weird - Can you tell where it is coming from? Could be worn timing chain.

I'd get a mechanics stethoscope to listen... particularly in the turbo area as I think you have a wastegate issue. But that could be unrelated.

Is it completely random? Unrelated to RPM, run time, etc?

I posted about this in another thread. It's the website itself that's bringing up these old posts as suggested things for you to read. If you click on one, you end up responding to old threads most of the time.

Then the rest of us chime in to keep the thread going! Guilty as charged.
