I have a 2000 9-3.

It's not the SE and it's not the Viggen.

What do I have? A T5 or T7?

T7. all NG900's, and 99 non-viggen 9-3's had T5. all 2000-2002 9-3's had T7
This strikes me a being important data/info ;it should be on an underhood data plate and with the owners papers..

Yeah but a black one can (or could have been) be used to replace a red one (just not vice versa)

Actually the T7 started in N.A in 00 on all 9-3s but in 99 for the Viggen. In the UK, it may have started a year earlier though.
