WHAT AM I MISSING???

Ok i have tech2 security clearance, ive been all thru it all now and i go to communicate with my 9-3 when i go to Transmission control module, position unit, shift lever module, elec hyd. power steering and rear driver control the tech 2 says no communication with the vehicle. Everything else looks good. so whats wrong here. do i need to replace all these or is there some intermediary thats the problem? fuses? relays? When i try to start the car it gives me a single loud hit but it doesnt seem the starter is turningb the flywheel. when i look at tech 2 it says the starter relay isnt on. Is that the relay, ground another issue? I just cant get it started.UGHHHH! help plz!!!
