I have a 96 900SE Turbo

When I accelorate (no matter what speed i'm currently at) I hear this weird....tone of a noise. Its coming from someplace inside the car (not the engine) I can't exactly pinpoint where the noise is coming from as it is random. I'll hear is at least once everytime I drive the car (and yes other people hear it too!) But it seems like depending where you sit (and who hears it) where the sound is coming from.

The only description of the sound I can give (shared with a few of my friends) is its similare to the sound or tone on an airplane when the seatbelt sign is turned on or the noise when you hit the button for the flight attendant.

The tone sometimes lasts all of a second or as long as about 5 seconds (perhaps longer) and is always random on lenght and when (except that its never happend unless i'm accelorating to some degree)

Any Ideas?

Just do the seasonal service on the pulleys and the ACC temperature sensor..

Then, perhaps it is a worn mount - accelerate is a clue..
Can't remember any specific aircraft sounds, as it has been 20 years since I have been in one..:cheesy:
