Took off the front wheels, and the offside has a stain on the inside of its rim, "that's not water" [condensation was my first thought] it's brake fluid! so a brief inspection finds the rubber dust cover for the nipple is damp with fluid too - it is weeping from there.

I checked it, it is tight but no proper seal.

I could be dirt lodged behind there from a previous bleed.

Fualty nipple.

worst case, failed seat in the calliper.

Needless to say I'm not pleased.

The V6, [the callipers were removed from a '97 Vectra] I going to get a new nipple this morning, hopefully changing this will 'purge' the area through.

Is there anything I may have overlooked?

i think you are on the right track, my guess would be a step has formed on the nipple so no longer sealing properly.

good job you noticed it
