Today while driving the warning light appeared simulataneously along with the brake system lights (ABS, brake, TCS, so on) for about 3-5 seconds with the chime.

What can that possibly be? It continued to happen every 10-15 mins while driving on the freeway, once I exited it occurred one last time while I was on the brake and I felt "one click" on the pedal..

Has someone experienced this or have any idea on what this can be? I just spent a ton working on the brakes of this car and getting very discouraged with the costs of simply maintaining it.. i love the car but im starting to feel like things just can go wrong at any moment. being a college student, this sucks!

James if you have just had work done on the brakes then I'm guessing they have upset a sensor or something, how long ago did you have the brakes done?

I had the brakes done I would say about two months ago.. if I had to guess, I would say that this is related to the work that was done. Right now the brakes seem to be fine. Could the ABS system be faulty?

This is the first time that Ive had experience with the warning light coming on every so often and go away and pop up again while driving.

This "click" on the pedal, sounds scary too, you really need a mechanic with Tech 2 to pull the fault codes and take it from there, I wouldnt ignore it though, especially if its a brake warning.

The guys who did the brakes were they saab specailists? What did you have done?

I dont know if they were a "specialist" but it was a shop that worked on exclusively saabs and volvos and it seems that they are knowledgable and trustworthy.

but the previous work done was a faulty master cyclinder and brake booster. i was going to try driving around for a bit later today to see if it comes up again, i guess im just trying to avoid taking it in too quickly cuz it might cost me an arm and a leg.. and from experience with owning the 9-5 for about 6 months, sometimes things pop up and go away by themselves.. and thats what im hoping. we ll see how it goes later today.

They shouldnt charge you to check out the faults, especially if you tell them its happening since they did the work, at least you can then decide what to do with their diagnosis.
