My '89 8v 900 starts and runs great when it's cold out - say below 50'F. When it is warm out, it starts ok but idles VERY rough, nearly stalls and will stall if given any throttle. This is only for the 1st minute or so, then it runs fine.

Any direction here is very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Couple of possibilities

fuel mixture is incorrect
Vacuum leaks
warm up regulator is faulty and fuel pressure (known as control pressure) is too high from cold start (better cold start in cold weather as the cold weather deflects the bimetallic strip in the warm up regulator lowering the fuel pressure and providing enrichment)

What you describe is one of the cardinal signs of a bad WUR, the easiest way to test this is with a fuel pressure gauge.
