I have seen a classic ad for a SAAB in Antique Automobile magazine that states in the text: "Find out why the SAAB starts at once, even at temperatures of 20 degrees below.....why you never have to change oil or buy oil filters...."

Was this a promotion involving getting free oil change for life when purchasing a SAAB? Any insight it this comment?

Because the Saab 92, 93 and 96 were fitted with a two-stroke engine based on DKW patents. In 1967, Saab switched to the Ford V4-four-stroke engine.
