Well, I had a lot of (apparently well founded) respect for the new 2.5l turbo Subaru Legacy GT, and it was confirmed this weekend. My friend just got one.
250hp, 250lb-ft,
~200 lbs more than the Vig
We did a bit of cruising, myself with one passenger, and him with two passengers. There are not a lot of places to go and accelerate in my area, but I did find one straightaway.. I was rolling around a corner in first(I dont normally do that, but I had to see..) into a straightaway with him behind me, waited till he straightened out and layed on it in first gear, running it up till only a short way into third.
Low and behold, for first and second gear he GAINED on me!!!! I have limited experience running near different performance cars, but this is the first car that I have seen get closer to my rear view when I didnt want them to  In third gear, we evened out, and I feel that I would have pulled on him had we run through the whole gear. This is exactly what I predicted beforehand.
I got to drive it through some twisties too.. AWD is so nice coming out of a corner. You can feel all four tires straining to break free, but unlike in the Vig, none of them decide to actually break free. It seems like cheating.
Sorry for the long, not-necessarily-saab-related post, but I would trade one nice discussion comparing our cars to other interesting cars or about driving dynamics for six threads about adding a turbo to an NA saab. :cheesy:
