To se if u have a vaccume leak if your reading is less then normal your car might not run right its a good thing to know I believe stock psi for vaccume is around -7psi(correct me if I'm wrong)

How can you have negative psi? I think you mean inches of mercury = "hg which is what the measurement of vacuum is. At idle there should be between 15 to 20"hg… this may vary slightly depending on a few things but pretty ballpark.

Yeah I just wrote what I saw on my gauge I couldn't think of the unit of measure

im about 15-20hg. also helpful for adjusting BOV spring tensions.
