I stumbled on a site for vacuum readings that explained some ways to diagnose some engine ailments (or lack thereof) by what your vacuum gauge is doing at idle and figured I'd share as I never heard of some of these before; like a bad valve spring has an effect on the vacuum readings, or optimal range at idle: (Look at the chart)
