Hi,
I was looking at my car's engine when I noticed a loose tube. After closer inspection it looks like its seal has either worn away or broken off. If anyone can identify what this tube might be and if major problems can occur if it's not fixed, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance

That's the vacuum pump for the brake booster (brake servo in Saab terms) Without a good vacuum seal there you probably have a very stiff brake pedal. By the looks of it you need a new brake booster vacuum line or maybe it's just a new o ring.

Thanks for the response. I havn't noticed having a very stiff break pedal, but I'll definitely look into getting a replacement.
