Hi folks. I have a sweet Topaz 4-door 1976 SAAB 99 GL. Outside the main engine compartment, on the back of the wheel well on the driver's side (USA), there is a device with two hoses coming and going, and an electrical contact. Two of the hoses are 7/32 vacuum hoses. They go through the engine wall and one connects to the 11/32 hose splitter on the booster grommet but the other one is just dangling. Any thoughts?

Have you got a picture? Sounds like it might be a charcoal filter or something maybe?

Oh! that's strange. The hard lines look like speedo drives. There was a rudimentary cruise control kit, perhaps it's part of one of those?
